A student who participated in mobility has right to have recognized results that he achieved on Receiving institution.
Academic recognition of the period of mobility is a procedure which is done by the competent Academic ESPB coordinator who determines the results achieved by the student in mobility. Coordinator makes a decision how to recognize the passed exams and issues a legal act Decision on the Academic Recognition of the Period of Mobility. Recognition of the results obtained during the mobility period, is based on the principles of transparency, flexibility and equity. A detailed legal act about learning process and professional practice is agreed by the two higher education institutions involved in mobility.
All activities conducted by visiting students on the exchange program will be valorized and recognized at the home institution as an integral part of the study program they attend, without additional examinations and as previously defined by the Learning Agreement or internship reached between different institutions. It is planned that mobility will be indicated in the transcript of grades (diploma supplement) with information on which higher education institution the subject is, code from the course catalog, number of ECTS points, grades. In the case of internship mobility, the duration of the internship, tasks and acquired competencies will be indicated). After the mobility, the guest student will be provided with a transcript of the grade with all the above information within a maximum of 5 weeks. The Academic ESPB coordinator will coordinate the preparation of these transcripts with the assistance of administrative staff.
Incoming mobility:
By signing the Learning / Training Agreement, the sending institution allows the student to go on a mobility for a certain period of mobility, their attendance and taking selected courses or other activities. Also, the institution guarantees the recognition of ECTS credits that the student acquires during the mobility period, in accordance with the appropriate curriculum of the sending / home institution.
Within five weeks after the end of the mobility period, the sending institutions will be sent a transcript of the records for their student.
Staff exchanging through mobility will receive a signed and stamped Exchange Certificate for the specified mobility period.
Academic recognition of mobility is a procedure by which the authorized Academic ECTS coordinator at the home institution determines the results obtained by the student during the period of mobility, ie exchange, and makes a decision on how to recognize exams, ECTS points and grades in the home institution.
Outgoing mobility:
Recognition of results (exams, ECTS credits and grades) obtained by the student in the admission period, ie during the period of mobility, is based on the principles of transparency, flexibility and fairness
The principle of transparency implies that the Regulations on the recognition of periods of mobility are publicly available (on the website and bulletin board, etc.).
The principle of flexibility implies a realistic approach to the recognition of academic results achieved by exchange. Complete coincidence in the content of study programs at the sending institution and the receiving institution is not possible. For this reason, the primary way of recognizing periods of mobility focuses on the similarities and learning outcomes, rather than on the differences between the study programs being compared. In the process of recognizing the results achieved by the student in the host institution, the emphasis is on the knowledge in a certain area that the student acquires through exchange, and which should be related to the knowledge that he would acquire in the home institution
The principle of fairness implies that the authorized ECTS coordinator during the recognition of the period of academic mobility is guided by the basic principles of mobility provided by the rulebook on internatonal mobility, as well as the principle of fairness, as a generally accepted legal principle.
A student who was in the period of mobility, ie exchange on the basis of a signed Learning Agreement and in accordance with a certain mobility program, reserves the right for the home institution to recognize their results in the receiving institution after returning from the exchange, without conducting a special recognition procedure. on the recognition of a document of a foreign foreign higher education institution for the purpose of continuing education.
The procedure of recognition of the academic period of mobility is initiated by the student by submitting a written request for recognition of the period of mobility. The student is obliged to timely submit to the authorized ECTS coordinator all relevant documents related to the achieved mobility, as follows:
-Written application for recognition of the mobility period.
-Learning / training agreement and possible additions (Transcript of records and Transcript of works).
-Document on the evaluation system at the receiving institution (unless this data is an integral part of the transcript of records).
-Other documents relevant to the procedure for recognition of the mobility period, at the request of the authorized academic ECTS coordinator.
Provided that the student has submitted the complete documents required for the implementation of the procedure of recognition of the academic mobility period, the authorized ECTS coordinator is obliged to issue a Decision on recognition of the mobility period, usually within 10 days before the semester in which the student continues the study program. sends the mentioned Decision to the student and the Student Service in order to be able to regulate all the necessary administrative details related to the achieved mobility
If the procedure from the previous paragraph is not completed within the above deadline, the home institution is obliged to enable the continuation of student studies even without registering the above data, as well as to complete the procedure in the shortest possible time, but not longer than 20 days. the student continues his studies at the home institution.
If the student considers that the recognition of exams, grades, ECTS points or acquired outcomes in the admission institution is not in accordance with these principles, he has the right to a written appeal which he submits to the Office for International Cooperation, within 10 days from the decision
